Energy Medicine
Last night I went to the Alternatives talk in London... this week's speaker was Gill Edwards.
Gill is a chartered clinical psychologist who from curing herself of breast cancer has ended up on a journey and writting many books on energy medicine and how to heal conicously. She has a new book out on "Concious Medincine" so I was intregued if her view on the world matched up to the BodyTalk one...
It did! Listening to here was just like being in a BodyTalk class, she used many of the same stories and examples which I use in Access :)
It reminded me of a few I have not used for a while though... such as the fact that people with split personalities can have different disease & characteristics. Thus proving there is a link from the personality and the physical body.
Multiple Personality disorder, is a syndrome in which two or more distinct personalities inhabit a single body. Dr. Bennet Braun of the International Society for the Study of Multiple Personality, in Chicago has documented (as have many) the changes which can occur from one personality to the next. For example, one personality can be allergic to a substance which others are fine with - all in the same body!
Other amazing stories and evidence shows eye colour can change, tumours can dissapear, one can have a scar from an accident which the others do not have - the scar dissapears or appears depending on who if running the mind!! Amazing.
This really proves the mind can effect the body phycsically, chemically and that our emeotions and mental health are important.

Feng Shui Your home
I went back home to Hove (actually - joke for any Brightonians there) for a workshop oon Feng Shui today from the lovely Vivian who is a friend and Feng Shui Coach. Website here
Viv taught me a great deal about where in my house I need to de-clutter first and gave me some great tools and ideas for sorting out the "wealth" area of my house which is missing!! Doh
As someone who works with Energy, I was able to deapen the class's knowledge with my Chinese 5 Element background. And it helped me see I balance the 5 elements in my body, but do I do the same in my house?
A great day finished with a natter with Viv and her husband Mike in the pub before tea at my grandparents.
Feng Shui is an area I want to look at more for helping my clients to balance their wellbeing both outside and in. Thanks Viv for a great day!

Yoga Show 2010
I spent most of today at the Yoga Show in London. My main reason for going was to see if it would be a good place to have a BodyTalk stand next year... and it was!
The people there were great, everyone was interesting and all the stands were full of great ideas and products!
After looking around I treated myself to a cup of Pukka tea and some tea bags, then a massage from the "Massage World" tent - a great magazine for people learning massage. I met Carl Newbury a really great guy... looking forward to organising our massage/BodyTalk swap soon!
After some smoothy and a try of Tantric Yoga I had to head home as I had dinner plans. The day was lovely and even better when I got news we had tickets to Take That!!

A few days in Munich...
I just got back from the IBA Instructor & Members Conference in Munich, Germany. It was a wonderful time. Munich is a beautiful city and I want to go back again:
As I sat in the middle of the room at the Instructors conference surrounded by Germans; I listened to what was being said and thought “I know it is so important to be here”. That sums up the conference for me… showing up.
The first European Conference has a theme of “Honouring the Matrix” and that is perfect... we all have a love of BodyTalk; we all see the changes it makes for ourselves and our clients every week - however we occasionally get caught up in our own worlds and forget the other 2000+ practitioners on the planet! We forget we have the vast support network and energy we have in our IBA Matrix. It is important to play our parts in this, the more you put in the more you get out.

Time to Expand Your Mind?
A few years ago I signed up for the MindScape course, because I was told to be a "good" BodyTalk Practitioner I should... I had no idea how it would transform my life!

I sat there on the Friday evening listening to Kris Attard telling me about what we were going to do over the weekend. I was sat there like a child waiting for Christmas as my mind started to think of all the applications of the tool which I was about to learn. I was astonished by what he claimed we were going to learn.
MindScape is all about giving people a tool which can open up your intuition and creativity. I always say it is a playground for adults! You build a "workshop" in your mind over the weekend and learn lots of tools to use within it. The tools and system of getting into "workshop" keeps our left brain something to distract itself with allowing our right brain to engage with us and let our intuition flow.
Using the tools we can use MindScape for many things....
- Personal development - MindScape will show you what you need to see or what you are trying to avoid!
- Revising and studying
- Working out a solution to a problem
- Running through presentations to the audience in advance
- I often use it to find things I have lost; from papers to cats
And much much more...
I use it to do all my BodyTalk sessions, face-to-face or distant as it allows me to be open to more information than I normally am.
During the weekend I was amazed as I am others came up with information about people we had never met! I couldn't wait to use it after the course.
Monday morning I put it to work to help solve an issue I had with a colleague at work (I was still in the corporate world), within 30 minutes she rang me to apologise for how she had been and we were able to move forward with the project trouble free!
Now I use MindScape everyday for one reason or another, it is great as a meditative state when sat idol on planes or trains. I have used it to help with jet lag, lack of sleep and much much more.
If you can get yourself to a FREE MindScape presentation - usually run on a Friday evening. The next one in the UK is Fri 19th Nov 2010 in Reading, Berkshire.

Fun & laughter
I just came back from a training course and had the most laughs I have had in ages!
It felt like the last day of school... we were excited, giggling, sad to split the class up and finish the class and grateful to each other for the support we showed each other during the week.
When was the last time you had such a laugh or a giggle?
It reminded me how important it is to have a good giggle and laugh till your sides hurt. There is a great healing power in laughter.
So book into a comedy club, watch a funny film, or play a silly game with your friends - find a way of making laughter an essential part of your week.
The Magician and the Parrot
A magician was working on a cruise ship in the Caribbean. The audience would be different each week, so the magician allowed himself to do the same tricks over and over again.
There was only one problem: The captain's parrot saw the shows every week and began to understand what the magician did in every trick. Once he understood that, he started shouting in the middle of the show.
"Look, it's not the same hat!" "Look, he's hiding the flowers under the table!" "Hey, why are all the cards the Ace of Spades?"
The magician was furious but couldn't do anything, it was the captain's parrot after all.
One day the ship had an accident and sank. The magician found himself on a piece of wood, in the middle of the ocean, and of course the parrot was by his side.
They stared at each other with hate, but did not utter a word. This went on for several days.
After a week the parrot finally said, "Okay, I give up. What'd you do with the boat?"

Preparation
I always find life is smoother when you have time to prepare!
There are times when you can blag it, and there are times when you should do some preperation - it can save time in the long run.
I have a course next week, I don't want to know everything which is going to happen... it takes away the surprise! But doing a little questioning gets the knowing of the things you can prepare.
So then what? Well you have to do it! Otherwise you turn up feeling even worse, "Oh I knew I should of...." is one of the worst situations to be in. Don't you think?
What 3 things do you have coming up with if you prepared and researched beforehand would make life easier? Sure you can think of one thing in the diary? So seek it out and pencil an evening in your diary to do the preperation. No excuse!
Right I am off to do some more preperation for next week. If I want to get 110% out of something I have to put 110% in :)

BodyTalk Modules 1&2 in London
Well what a weekend! Myself and the instructor Charlotte had a huge class of 27 people attending the entry level for BodyTalk practitioners in London over the weekend. This was the largest Mod 1&2 in the UK for a good few years, so we were pleased to be introducing so many people to this great system.
The 4 days is quite intensive and the participants did well, they really got all the basics and fundimentals before they left and now they are ready to practise!!
Myself and Charlotte had a bit of a cry at the end after all the emotion of putting the class on and all the wonderful feedback we got. I love seeing the shifts and excitement as they begin to understand what they could do with the BodyTalk system.
Click here to watch a video of all the photos.... photos

An awesome weekend
I just spent 3 days with Joanna Martin and her team helping to run her Presentation Profits Intensive event.

I love being part of events where people really get to transform themselves. Joey really comes from a heart felt place and is able to bring out the best in others.
Joey and Greg asked me to come and support them again and we had fun helping to transform the attendees - helping their presentation skills, business ideas and giving them heaps of value!

Here we are sharing a well deserved drink at the end of 4 very long days! Me, Joey and her event manager Tam.

Advanced MindScape
Kris Attard came and taught Advanced MindScape at the end of May, we had a wonderful time. The sun even came out for some of the weekend, so we could enjoy the beautiful grounds at Tekel's Park (Surrey) while we "worked" ;)

This was the first time we had Advanced MindScape in the UK for a couple of years, and we will probably have to wait a while before we have another!!
"...a big thank you to you though for helping me to have four days I will never forget honestly, it was such an experience and I loved every minute of it, and the four days were way beyond my expectations, and my mindscape has gone to a different level" Neil
Advanced MindScape is so much more than just adding to your MindScape toolkit, it really is a course which grows the attendees on many levels. We get to really advance our skills in MindScape, of course, and speed up the process of accessing the workshop which is always welcomed! Additionally we experience working with nature, looking at synchronicity, advanced scanning tools, and working with Archytypes… to name just a few additional goodies. I won't give it all away :)
It really is a moving course, and having attended twice (well as a coordinator, I missed some of it because I was working) I still gained so much the second time around, and did some really healing work on myself - some big shifts again!! Advanced MindScape is up there as one of my favourite courses of all time. The first time I took it I was on the edge of my seat asking what was next, because there was so much fun and interesting experiences to be had... I love MindScape.
Eloise
"Kris's Advanced Mindscape at Tekels Park was fantastic, I really love this stuff, this is my favourite and I've done a few courses over the last 20 years" Pam
"Sitting in a room with 11 other participants, Kris asked us to 'Remote View' a photo he had taken in Malta. 5 Minutes later we were all calling out what we had seen in our minds.........Between us all we came up with everything in the photo. We are now Advances MindScape'rs....mind blowing!!" Yvonne
"What I found really helpful about Advanced MindScape was understanding that I can use my workshop to open up my perception to everything around me whilst going about my daily life. To the signs, symbols and synchronous events. I know this will help me in 'reading the field' around my BodyTalk clients, my business clients and around my relationships with friends and family; revealing layers of information hitherto inaccessible". BodyTalk Access back in Berkshire
Well it was a VERY hot day but we had a small Access class in Wokingham on Sat. Even though it was a little warm in the room, the participants loved the day and many said they wanted to come and learn more about the BodyTalk system.
The Access class is great to get some foundations in what the BodyTalk ssystem can do, and I always enjoy seeing the shifts in the room!

Bank Holiday Weekend
So a bank holiday weekend... Friday I spent the day teaching my BodyTalk Access class - I qualified to teach back in February (another success to celebrate!!)
Learn one of the techniques for yourself by watching my video: Cortices technique
I had an awesome day and the feedback from the attendees was awesome too! I demonstrated the Fast Aid (energetic First Aid) on a lady who had broken her wrist a number of times and was in pain... the pain went immediately!! You should have seen her face, it was priceless. She emailed me to tell me it still had not come back 2 days later. Love it!
So after a busy day, I decided to take some time out. It is so important to find some balance in life and take some time out for ourselves... so Saturday I went to Reading's 16th annual Beer & Cider festival, so I had a lovely relaxing day in the sun with friends.

I also got to watch the Morris Dancers! I remember "doing" Morris dancing at Primary School - 7 yrs old loose with sticks! I remember it being painful ;)
Far easier to watch the experts!
Sunday was a mixture of relaxing and working, catching up with some tasks and paperwork.
Monday myself and 3 other BodyTalk practitioners were at the 'Conscious Living Day' held in the beautiful Bearwood College (near Wokingham in Berkshire) offering taster sessions and talking to lots of people about BodyTalk.
Not a busy event, but it was fun to connect to the people who were there and I made some new friends!
All in all a busy weekend, and lots of fun!!

Eloise is teaching BodyTalk
Whilst stuck at home in the snow I put my time to good use and completed all my video assignments for my BodyTalk Access Trainer (BAT) status.
Finally after a lot of work and studying, I am now a BAT!
Sylvia Muiznieks my instructor for my training said:
"Please welcome Eloise Ansell of the UK to the growing family of BATs! I'm sure that she'll attract many students with her charm and wit, along with her solid presentation of the Access material. Best wishes, Eloise, for continued success in your growing personal BodyTalk matrix."

I am very proad to be only the 4th Access Trainer in the country.

Time to Focus
Every year we all make New Year resolutions, or promises to ourselves and break them immediately ;)
Well some of us do....
It is natural over the new year to think about the last year and what we want from the next. Energetically it is a great process.
I normally don't make NYR during the New Year period. I wrote my 2010 plans back in early December this year, then or start of February are good times.
Now if I had set up a goal to go to the gym 3 times a week I would have broken it instantly this year - I still can't leave the house for snow & ice!! I can hardly get in my car and drive to the gym.
So, as I advise all my clients, find a way that works for you. Things generally take 30 days to become a habit... so why not add a new piece to the jigsaw every month? Each month have a new addition to the list of things you commit to.
And don't be disappointed if you have the odd blip.
With all the snow and ice and being stuck in doors without seeing anyone, sitting in front of a film with chocolate for an odd night is understandable (well at least that is what I will tell myself when I do so later!!)
This year I am focusing on different things each month.
January is all about finishing 3 projects I have outstanding. They are my focus and No 1 goal each day.
February is going to be about my physical environment and exercise. Getting my house sorted and spring cleaned while I get my running shoes back on.
What is your main focus and goal this month?
If there is one thing, which if you did it would have the biggest impact on your life?
Got one?
Now think about how you would feel if you didn't accomplish it?
What might get in the way?
Is it realistic that you can get it done?
How will you feel when you achieve it?
What will people be saying to you?
What will you see which is different?
Just take 5 mins to think it through and connect with achieving it.
If your ready to commit to it... then go for it! Start 2010 off in the way which will impact you to do all the things you love this year :)

Happy New Year!
Well it is snowing... planning on building a snow cat to amuse my cats later.
All the cold, the lack of gas, the lack of transport, the lack of water (my mains went down today)... all makes us realise how lucky we are!
I popped into see a friend in hospital - and it is busy there!! - no one is visiting, no one can go home... lucky the doctors and nurses are there!
The old lady across the road from me is ok but there is no way she can leave her house... everyone is slipping over everywhere.
It really makes you think what it could be like if there was ever a big shift in the future... we are so reliant on fuel, the Internet and each other we don't normally notice it.
So lets all take care of each other in the big freeze! There is more snow to come yet.
Have fun & keep warm.

It really makes you think what it could be like if there was ever a big shift in the future... we are so reliant on fuel, the Internet and each other we don't normally notice it.
So lets all take care of each other in the big freeze! There is more snow to come yet.
Have fun & keep warm.
